Why haven't I updated my blog lately? Well first off, I don't think i have that many readers, and secondly...I've just been tremendously lazy with updating it.One of the goals of this blog was not to blog about my daily activities. I wanted to actually take the time to write about thoughts cookin in my brain. Hasn't been happening all too often lately, but I'm finding the late nights are a good environment for me to write.I'll try to give this another shot sometime this week.In the mean time...BATMAN: The Animated Series!
Woot. This beats watching regular TV in my opinion. TV is such a bore now a days.

it's official: mats sundin is staying!
i am very happy with his decision. as a somewhat longtime (almost 10 years) leafs fan i can say without a doubt that mats sundin is the greatest leaf player of my generation. his leadership and consistency has proven to be the rarity in the league. i am a huge fan of mats sundin. he's my favourite leaf who is still currently with the organization (my other favourite would have to be cujo). i love watching the guy play. he's probably the only player on the leafs team who puts excitement in me when he touches the puck. he is a great guy and will always be a true toronto maple leaf. he's toronto's steve yzerman.
a lot of people will say the leafs are dunzo and out of the playoffs for another 5 years because of sundin's "selfish" decision to stay. i don't really know what the leafs can do without moving sundin. hopefully one of the other FOUR players with no-trades will waive, otherwise this team is headed nowhere.
the next 17 hours are going to be quite exciting as we get closer to the trade deadline. i pray that the leafs make some moves to help benefit the team.
WOW. lots has happened over the past few days. i don't think i've been this busy in a long time, in terms of staying out late and what not. i'll do a quick run-down:

antina's birthday!... went to class, and then headed downtown again to diahanna's house for antina's 80's party. amanda, chris, and tuan came with me too. thanks to those guys for keeping me company. it was a very fun night! thanks to diahanna for being such a great host! pictures & videos are all over facebook.
friday feb.15
took the day off, was pretty tired from thursday night. what did i do...? hmm i spent the whole day putting together my present for antina. it was hard work! i also bummed around and just watched TV.

THE BIG DAY! i had lots planned out for antina. first, i picked her up and we exchanged gifts. i then took her to a manicure/pedicure. we went downtown afterwards. we walked around, saw some random break-dancers in eaton centre and then we headed to the restaurant! we went to go eat at starfish oysterbed and grill on adelaide and church. i definitely recommend this place to anyone who digs seafood (particularly OYSTERS). the meals were great and it was a very nice atmosphere too.
afterwards, we went over to nathan phillips square for some skating with amanda & jeff! it was good times. i haven't skated in so long, but i was able to pick it up after a few minutes. overall, the entire day was very good!

hit up belsky's bday party with dan, ian and winnie. got to go see her MANSION of a house. omg, it's so big. we took a limo bus downtown to the club. it was fun, this bus was definitely pimpin. it had a 40 some inch LCD tv in the back, and there were lasers in the damn bus!
again, had a fun night at "the fifth". i was not expecting an asian club, but that's okay the asians were friendly this time.

family day! not doing much today...planning to work on my essay for my themes in african history course. had a good weekend overall. reading week, up-ahead. need to get my work done.
i just found out i got a job for the summer! woot

this past weekend, we experienced what i like to call...COLD WEATHER. holy moly, it was freezing!
ive discovered though, that i still enjoy the cooler weather conditions over super hot steam-room like weather conditions. don't get me wrong im excited for summer, but im not looking forward to the days where i can't even step outside. i have a love-hate relationship with the weather in toronto. i like being able to wear tshirts and shorts in the summer, but i also like not having to sweat all the time in the winter. spring and fall is way too short every year. it's so hard to get the best of both worlds.
THE WEEKEND
this past weekend was pretty enjoyable. i didn't have too much work to do and chinese new years was good to me this year. i cannot complain =).
THE WEEK AHEAD
i have a midterm and assignment due tomorrow. i'm looking forward to the end of this week because next week is reading week! my plans for reading week? im going to stay home, relax and just enjoy the break. im going to try and catch up with work and watch some movies.
NEWS FLASH!
i got a new cell phone today. ive wanted this phone for some time now. i will go into more details when the phone arrives. i have to admit, im quite excited!

Today marks the end of the week for me. I am quite relieved that this week is over. I didn't really have too much going on, but it feels good to have the weekend around the corner.
This weekend, I am celebrating Chinese New Year's with my family. Hopefully I'll get some good food on Saturday and some nice little red envelopes =). It's quite selfish of me to say this, but it's the truth. I'm not afraid to hide it.
So I've wanted to talk about this for a long time now...a few weeks ago an actor named Heath Ledger past away. I'm not going to talk about the craze about how he died and all that bullshit, because that's the media's job. I just wanted to say he was a really good actor. My opinion isn't too reliable since I've only seen him in two and a half movies. But he does star in one of my favourite movies of all time, Lords of Dogtown.
He's barely recognizable in this movie. I was also really looking forward to his role in The Dark Knight. Don't get me wrong, I still am, but it just won't be the same now that he's gone. Won't get to his promos for the role, interviews, dvd extras. Being the big Batman geek that I am, watching this movie will definitely be a different experience. I've heard great things about the way he's portrayed the Joker:
